Back to school in Madison
Back to School in Madison Alabama.
It’s almost
the most wonderful time of year again in Madison! .Christmas? Oh heaven’s no, every
parent knows back to school is the most wonderful time of year (well except Kindergarten parents, prepare
to cry your eyes out , but in a happy way). Back to school in Madison ,Al will begin on Aug 19th in
2013.So what does this mean? It means hurry and get your last minute school supplies and don’t forget
the coolest new styles to model around the halls. Lucky for me, my boys aren't to
into name brands yet, they just like shirts with their favorite cartoons on them.
But that’s not the most exciting part is it?
It’s time
for new beginnings, time to try new things. Play a new sport , meet a new
friend ,trust a new teacher, and read a new book. It’s time to learn! Then
before you know it, the leaves will be changing ,the air will be crisp and Fall
will sneak up on us like a beautiful surprise. Soon it actually will be
CHRISTMAS! Wait,
I haven’t bought any presents yet! OK ,NOBODY PANIC!! Right now let’s just get our Madison kids crew back to school.
So for our
Family we have
·
Backpacks
√
·
School
supplies √
·
Nervous
kiddos √
·
Snack
Boxes √
·
Small
teacher gift √
Yes, we send a cute little teacher gift for the first day of school. Why?
Are we just BIG OL’KiSS Up’s? Well, kind of.
With a Child that has ADHD and another that just knows EVERYTHING,I feel
like a little ground work never hurts.(grin)
The absolute true reason we do it is because I have many teacher friends,
My Husband is in School to teach, and I
have worked as a childcare professional, so I KNOW that on BACK TO SCHOOL, Teacher’s
deserve a small token of thanks.
You can find a few idea's HERE on my Pinterest Board DIY GIFTS! Feel Free to Follow me.
HAPPY BACK TO SCHOOL!

Let me just say that when we moved here a few years ago THIS was one of the first places I fell in love. YES LOVE! The hand made cheeses. The Chicory Coffee,The big Juicy tomatoes the pepper jelly and the home made breads are all my true loves forever. The people here are so down to earth and just sweet as that pie your gonna make from the fresh strawberry's. Trust me when I say THIS is a great part of Madison Living.
*Great,now I want pie* ;).
Craft Fair at Dublin Park
Dublin Park is one of our family's favorite places to go in Madison.
From the pond to the playground, there is always something for us to enjoy. Now I'm even more excited to go in August to the Craft Fair. Yessss! Hand crafted items are my favorite things to give(and get) as gifts but I don't always have the Time or Talent to make everything I want . That is just one of the reason's I support local artist. Madison has a lot of Talent from Musicians,Farmers(the Farmers Market is a MUST SEE),to Artist. I love living in such a beautiful and talent filled place.
The City of Madison Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting the 1st Annual Arts and Crafts Fair at Dublin park. The event will be an indoor event and is open to Vendors that showcase handmade items. Saturday, August 10, 2013 8:00 am - 2:00 pm Dublin Park Gymnasium - 8324 Madison Pike 12 x 12 Booth Space - $30.00 Vendor Application

It is a beautiful little suburb of Huntsville and a great place to call home. Here is a welcome intro from the official Madisonal.gov webpage.
Thank you for wanting to learn more about Madison, Alabama! Founded in 1869, Madison is located 10 miles west of Huntsville. We’re known for our high quality schools, quaint downtown, proximity to Huntsville International Airport, festivals, walking trails, and family fun!

Our healthy business climate is augmented and maintained through City partnerships with the Madison Chamber of Commerce, Madison Station Historic Preservation Commission, and volunteer work.
With regularly scheduled festivals and events, downtown Madison is a place to connect with others, whether for lunch or dinner, shopping, or getting to see history firsthand. Stop in any business in town and you will know Madison is a welcoming place, offering professional opportunities.
